Founded by a wiggleworm!
Wiggleworms is more than just a business—it’s a family mission. Shortly after becoming a single mom, I turned my attention to creating a life that would not only provide for my two young boys, Luka and Avery, but also teach them invaluable lessons about responsibility, creativity, and caring for the earth. Traditional schooling isn’t part of our plan; instead, their education will be rooted in real-world experiences, hands-on learning, and the values we hold dear.
The idea for Wiggleworms was born during a unique chapter in our lives. We were living temporarily on a friend’s land, part of a small, tight-knit community. It was there, surrounded by nature and inspired by the simplicity of community living, that we began dreaming about what kind of business we could create together. It had to be something we genuinely cared about— homesteading, permaculture, and taking care of the earth. It also had to be something accessible, something we could start with the resources we had: land and a passion for sustainability and regeneration.
That’s when Luka (3), came up with the idea for "Wiggleworms." He even helped design the logo! From that spark of inspiration, Wiggleworms was born… a family-run composting business that’s all about making sustainable living simple, accessible, and fun.
Every week, we help families and communities turn their food scraps into something magical—rich, nutrient-filled compost that nourishes the earth. In return, our customers receive finished compost twice a year, closing the loop and giving back to their own gardens. It’s a small act that makes a big difference, and it’s something we’re proud to do together.
For us, Wiggleworms isn’t just about composting. It’s about connection—to the earth, to our community, and to the values we live by as a family. We’re so excited to share this journey with you and invite you to be part of it, one bucket of food scraps at a time.
